Bsporty App
A monolithic mobile sports hub powered by a highly distributed polyglot backend. BSporty unifies algorithmic scheduling, retail commerce, and real-time social matchmaking into one frictionless, cross-platform Flutter application.

BSporty is a paradigm-shifting sports super-app conceived by Aris Bedrossian to unify the heavily fragmented athletic digital ecosystem. From complex algorithmic court bookings and securing elite coaches, to purchasing professional gear and communicating with massive teams in real-time, we engineered a monolithic mobile application—powered by a highly distributed microservices backend—capable of orchestrating highly concurrent workflows without dropping a single frame.
A Fractured Ecosystem.
Modern athletes face a surprisingly disjointed digital experience. Organizing a simple weekly football match traditionally requires a chaotic blend of distinct platforms: a facility management app to book the physical court, an e-commerce website to buy jerseys and rackets, WhatsApp or Telegram to coordinate players, and a separate payment portal to handle coach fees.
The Real-World Impact: This fragmentation creates massive financial and experiential friction. Sports facilities and elite coaches routinely lose thousands of dollars monthly to "no-shows" because they rely on informal WhatsApp bookings without upfront payment holds. Conversely, amateur players struggle with skill-mismatch—they book a court, but cannot find local players of the same competitive tier, resulting in frustrating, lopsided games.
Aris Bedrossian’s vision for BSporty was uncompromising: solve these real-world pain points by unifying these disparate verticals into one frictionless, hyper-fast environment. However, combining scheduling algorithms, real-time bidirectional socket communication, intricate e-commerce tracking, and geolocated social matchmaking into a single mobile application is a monumental technical undertaking.
Elevating the Blueprint.
The client approached Vasuko App Solutions with an excellent baseline Figma design file. While the visual language was strong, enterprise-grade applications require microscopic attention to usability heuristics and platform-specific paradigms. Before writing a single line of code, our UX engineers conducted a rigorous audit of the provided designs.
We systematically optimized the spacing matrices to strictly align with an 8-point grid system. This mathematical approach to spacing ensures flawless touch-target sizes that adhere perfectly to both Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design standards. Furthermore, we audited the entire iconography set. We replaced non-standard, rasterized assets with a cohesive, scalable vector graphic (SVG) system utilizing custom font glyphs. This guarantees pixel-perfect clarity on high-density Retina iOS screens while maintaining a minuscule memory footprint.
Finally, we introduced fluid micro-animations—such as highly optimized hero transitions and nuanced haptic feedback triggers—that elevate the app from merely functional to a premium, tactile experience.
Flutter Pro Architecture.
To achieve absolute parity across iOS and Android while maintaining an aggressive timeline, we architected the entire mobile ecosystem using the Flutter framework and the Dart programming language. For an app with six different core verticals, state management is the most critical point of failure. We utilized the highly robust BLoC (Business Logic Component) pattern, strictly separating the presentation layer from the business logic.
Right from the start, we engineered an offline-first architecture. By integrating Hive (a blazing fast, lightweight NoSQL database for Dart), we persist massive amounts of data locally on the user's device. When a user opens the app, the UI renders instantly from local cache while a background isolate seamlessly negotiates with the backend to fetch delta updates. This ensures that heavy business logic and network serialization never block the main UI thread, resulting in a locked 60fps scrolling experience even on mid-range Android devices.
Polyglot Persistence.
A super-app cannot rely on a single database paradigm. To handle the extreme variance in data structures, we engineered a heavily distributed backend using Node.js microservices, exposed via a unified GraphQL API layer.
We utilized a true Polyglot Persistence database architecture:
- PostgreSQL: Used for all strictly relational data. User authentication, financial transactions, e-commerce inventory, and court reservations demand absolute ACID compliance. Postgres ensures that a jersey isn't sold twice and a court isn't double-booked.
- MongoDB: Used for highly unstructured, rapidly mutating data. Social feeds, match histories, player profiles, and extensive user settings are stored in Mongo documents, allowing for rapid schema iteration without costly migrations.
- Redis: Deployed as an ultra-fast caching layer for ephemeral data like session tokens, live match scores, and real-time geofencing calculations to find nearby coaches.
Transactions & Time.
The Retail Engine
BSporty functions as a full-fledged retail platform. We built a robust sports e-commerce engine allowing users to seamlessly browse and purchase jerseys, footballs, rackets, and premium memberships. We integrated the Stripe SDK to handle secure, PCI-compliant payment tokenization. The backend utilizes complex webhooks to manage cart states, trigger fulfillment pipelines, and push real-time order-tracking updates to the user via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Algorithmic Booking & Locks
Handling physical reservations is notoriously difficult due to race conditions. If two users attempt to book the exact same tennis court for Friday at 5:00 PM simultaneously, the database must flawlessly handle the collision. We engineered a robust calendar algorithm utilizing Pessimistic Locking within our PostgreSQL transaction blocks. When a user selects a time-slot, the system issues a `SELECT FOR UPDATE` lock, temporarily holding the slot during the checkout process.
To eliminate the real-world problem of "no-shows", our payment integration holds the coach or court fee in escrow upon booking. Upon arrival at the facility, players generate a dynamic, encrypted QR Code within the app, which the facility manager scans to instantly verify the booking and release the funds.
Real-Time Matchmaking.
Geolocation & Skill Matching
To solve the issue of lopsided games, we engineered a sophisticated Geolocation and ELO-style matchmaking algorithm. The app utilizes the device's native GPS API (optimized for minimal battery drain) to constantly scan for nearby players and available courts within a user-defined radius. The backend then cross-references player profiles to suggest matches only with opponents of a similar skill tier.
WebSockets & Deep Linking
To replace third-party messaging apps, we integrated low-latency WebSockets directly into the Flutter core. This powers a highly responsive, real-time chat infrastructure. Users can engage in 1-on-1 player chats, communicate privately with booked coaches, or coordinate strategies in massive group team channels.
We also implemented Firebase Dynamic Links for Push Notification deep-linking. When a user receives a push notification saying "John invited you to a match", tapping the notification instantly bypasses the home screen and routes the user directly into that specific match's RSVP screen, vastly improving conversion rates for team events.
Absolute Control.
To accommodate diverse user preferences, we developed an exhaustive settings architecture. Athletes have granular control over every aspect of their BSporty experience—from fine-tuning exactly which types of push notifications they receive (match invites vs. shop updates) to adjusting deep privacy configurations.
The final product is a fluid, hyper-responsive sports hub that feels completely native to the device it runs on. Vasuko App Solutions delivered an enterprise-grade mobile application powered by a massive, highly scalable distributed backend. It easily scales to handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent athletes, perfectly realizing Aris Bedrossian's vision.
"Vasuko App Solutions took our initial designs and engineered a flawless, enterprise-grade sports super-app. Their mastery of Flutter architecture, complex backend databases, and UX refinement is absolutely unmatched." Aris Bedrossian, Founder BSporty
